RECOMMENDATIONS FOR
RIGGING & DE-RIGGING A TRAMPOLINE

THE TRAMPOLINE SHOULD BE UNFOLDED USING A FIRM, CONTINUOUS AND CONTROLLED MOVEMENTS.

Two or three people will be needed to unfold the trampoline, at least one of whom should be a qualified instructor.

  1. Before unfolding the trampoline make sure that the rollerstands are fully into the frame. Lift the trampoline to the highest position making sure the rollerstand handle is pointing to the floor and that the spring plunger is located in the handle.
  2. Angle the trampoline by pushing the lower leg and rotating the frame. Now release the lower leg and place it on the floor and continue moving the upper leg to rotate the trampoline towards a horizontal position.
  3. Continue unfolding the upper leg until both legs are fully extended.

REMEMBER : WHEN UNFOLDING THE TRAMPOLINE TAKE CARE NEVER TO POSITION YOURSELF OR ANY OTHER PERSON UNDER THE TRAMPOLINE.

    LIFT & LOWER ROLLERSTAND VERSION

  4. Hold the handle on the stand and pull out the plunger, rotate the handle in a controlled manner until the handle is pointing to the ceiling, making sure the legs are pulled out so that the chains are tight. Remove the rollerstand and store it away from the trampoline, repeat for the other rollerstand.

    CONVENTIONAL ROLLERSTAND VERSION

  5. Have two people lift the trampoline leg at one end and then let the third person remove the rollerstand. If only two persons are available then one is to hold the leg below the chain out tight while the other can pull the rollercaster to the side using the wheel to lower the trampoline to the floor.
  6. With the second person positioned at the opposite end of the frame, lift and open the top end rail to the horizontal position. Engage both leg braces fully home in the bushes located in the legs.

PLEASE NOTE : BOTH LEG BRACES MUST BE LOCATED AND ENGAGED BEFORE OPENING THE SECOND HALF OF THE TRAMPOLINE.

  7. As in step 5 lift and open the second end rail to the horizontal position. (This rail might be under tension and could spring back to the folded position. BE CAREFUL). Engage the legs into the bushes provided.
  8. Check that the frame pad is sitting correctly, covering the springs and frame.
  9. Follow normal safety checks as required in this manual. DE-RIGGING THE TRAMPOLINE THE TRAMPOLINE SHOULD BE FOLDED USING A FIRM, CONTINUOUS AND CONTROLLED MOVEMENT WARNING CARE MUST BE TAKEN WHEN DE-RIGGING THE FIRST END RAIL SINCE THE TRAMPOLINE BED IS UNDER TENSION WHICH WILL CAUSE THE END RAIL TO SPRING UPWARDS IN A FAST MOVEMENT
  10. Disengage the leg braces at one end of the trampoline only.
  11. Lift and fold the end rail in a controlled manner. (Read the warning).
  12. Disengage the leg brace of the second end rail.
  13. Lift and fold the end rail in a controlled manner. (This end will not be under tension, just heavy).

    LIFT & LOWER ROLLERSTAND VERSION

  14. Insert both rollerstands with the handles pointing upwards, into the location bushes on the side rails of the trampoline.
  15. Rotate the rollerstand handles so that they point towards the floor and lock into position using the plunger

    CONVENTIONAL ROLLERSTAND VERSION

  16. Insert both rollerstands into the side rails location bushes of the trampoline, pushing home fully. The rollerstands will be at an angle with one wheel resting on the floor.
  17. With the second person, lift the leg to allow the rollerstands to swing into the vertical position. Carefully lower the trampoline so that the rollerstands take the weight of the trampoline.
  18. The next operation involves rotating the trampoline to its storage position. It is important to rotate it in the right direction. The hinge for the outer end rail must be at the top so that the outer rail hangs down and prevents the inner end rail from opening out. Similarly, the upper leg (the one with the hinge at the top) must be outside the lower leg so that it prevents the lower leg from falling out. Throughout the operation, ensure that the roller stands remain fully located in the bushes to support the trampoline.
  19. Stand at the end that will be the top (where the outer end rail is hinged).
  20. Have the second person push in the leg at the far (lower) end.
  21. Rotate the trampoline and bring the lower leg up inside the upper leg until the trampoline reaches its vertical storage position.
  22. Ensure that the rollerstands are fully located in the side rail bushes and that the hooks on the rollerstand contains the side rail.
  23. If the trampoline is fitted with lift & lower stands, lower the trampoline into its transport & storage position by releasing the spring plunger and carefully rotating the handle to the upright position.
  24. Lastly make sure that the trampoline is stored in a safe position and the legs are padlocked to the side rail to stop any unauthorised use.
